Questions from sponsors.

Who receives the scholarship?+
Avolv students who have completed, or are on track to complete, an Avolv certification. Students can apply from any Avolv program: the full Avolv Academy through their school, a single classroom with their teacher, a homeschool family or co-op, or a parent working through it with their student. Awards can go toward high school, college, or other qualified school expenses, and we confirm every applicant with their teacher, program leader, or parent.
How are winners chosen?+
Applicants submit either a 350 to 500 word essay or a video up to 2 minutes long. Our team reviews every submission, verifies the applicant, and selects the winner. You'll see the winner's story before we announce them.
Can the same student win more than once?+
No. Each student can win once, so more learners get a chance. If you'd like to keep supporting a winner's journey, we're happy to connect you, as long as the student and their parent or guardian agree.
How much does it cost to sponsor a scholarship?+
Each scholarship is $1,000. You can sponsor 1 scholarship, set up a recurring monthly award, or fund scholarships for the whole year. Share your goals and budget in the form below, and we'll put together a sponsorship quote that fits.
Where does the money go?+
Sponsorship funds are held in a dedicated reserve for students. Each winner receives $1,000 per scholarship, sent directly and securely to them to continue their education. We'll share exactly how the award is paid out when we confirm your sponsorship.
Can I sponsor a scholarship as an individual?+
Yes! You don't need to be part of a company or organization. Just enter "Self" in the organization name and link fields on the form.
Can I choose which school or students my scholarship supports?+
We aim to give every Avolv student an equal opportunity, so we prefer to consider all applicants equally. If you feel strongly about supporting a particular school or group of students, share that in the form and we'll talk through your options.
Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?+
Avolv is an LLC, not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so a scholarship sponsorship is not a charitable donation. Many businesses treat sponsorships as a marketing or advertising business expense. Every situation is different, so check with your tax professional about what applies to you.
